You do not need to trade futures to trade gold. So many traders overlook or, frankly, are intimidated by futures. They often make the mistake of saying, ” I don’t trade futures,” and the idea is closed down. Don’t do that! It is causing you to miss opportunities.
Trading gold is an excellent example of how we can (and should) utilize our views on gold. We want to start by looking at futures (/GC) and using those zones to set up our SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) options trades.
