I don’t typically play the first 30 minutes of the day (or the clearing range). Not to say you can’t trade in that time but be warned — the more volatility… the higher the risk. I’m a conservative trader, but sometimes there are trade setups that I like in that window even though they are aggressive (higher risk trades).
So, how do I take that trade and avoid risking too much or simply more than I can or should risk?
I use an alternative — trading options instead of futures.
